The Computational Biology division at UCT hosts a range of bioinformatics tools, both in-house and external, and provides services to researchers at UCT. The CBIO division has a Galaxy installation for developing and running bioinformatics workflows and can provide support for creating custom pipelines or packaging new modules into Galaxy. For more details on bioinformatics service requests please see: Bioinformatics Service Requests.
The members of the CBIO division collaborate both with researchers at UCT and with researchers beyond the university sphere. Our collaborations policy is that the group member involved is acknowledged for significant contributions to projects through authorship on publications.
Data analysis support can be provided for:
- Proteomics data
- Genotyping data
- Next generation sequencing data
- Genome or EST annotation
- Microarray data
